Vivek Jaisree Mohandas

Vivek is an enthusiastic environmentalist and sustainability professional with priority focus on waste management, resource efficiency and circular economy. In 2018, he was selected for the prestigious German Chancellor Fellowship supported by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Being an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow, he worked on the topic of "Cities in Transition" with focus on disruptive innovations and concepts in the context of Sustainable Urbanization while being hosted by Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy. Prior to the fellowship, he worked as a sustainability consultant for global ship recycling projects. He has also worked on international environmental projects for UNEP, BRS secretariat, IMO. Vivek has also co-founded a platform 'The Circular Collective', first of its kind repository for documentation and promotion of concepts and practices related to Circular Economy in India.
